Actorly is a Shopify app that keeps a searchable change log of your store. It keeps the old value and the new value of the changes it can see, and it can put select fields back, one at a time, after you confirm. It is an app inside the Shopify admin. Nothing is installed on your storefront. ## Why it exists. Shopify's help page for the [activity log](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-admin/activity-logs) says it is view-only, cannot be exported and shows at most 250 results. The log lists the date, the time and who took the action, and the page does not describe old and new values. So when a price, a collection or a theme changes and nobody can say what it was before, Actorly keeps that record from the day you install it. It cannot show history from before it was installed. ## How we work. 01 **A claim says no more than the app proves.** What this site says Actorly does is checked against what the app does. Where the two disagree, the app wins. 02 **Unknown is an honest answer.** Where Shopify reports no one for a change, Actorly says Unknown, and it never fills that in later. 03 **A match is shown as a correlation.** Who made a change is matched to Shopify's activity log by time. Actorly shows that as a correlation with a confidence word, not as a certainty. 04 **A restore is checked before and after.** Actorly checks the field first, asks you to confirm the exact value, writes it, then asks Shopify again to confirm the value took. 05 **Nothing is written without your yes.** Actorly writes nothing to your store except during a restore you confirmed, and it puts nothing on your storefront. 06 **No AI in the record.** Recording a change and working out who made it are done by fixed rules, never by AI. ## Who builds Actorly.
